KillaCycle, killer A123’s.
Well here’s why those A123 batteries stir my blood, a 8.22 second 1/4 mile reaching 250kmh!
I was quoted USD$12.25 each for 1500, that’s about AUD$24,000! The Killacycle uses about half that many, but discharges them a little quicker…

Hi Shaun
Got on the free newsletter subscription for http://hybrids-plus.com/ to keep track of Plug-in conversions for Prius.
In one of their recent podcasts they talk about using the A123 batteries in their recent plug-in conversion - there’s also a discussion about the in’s and out’s of the vehicle-to-grid (V2G) debate.

Thanks Alex,
That was an interesting interview. After listening to this and watching Four Corners last night it amazes me how many start-up companies are doing exciting things in the U.S. I guess their huge economy can afford it.
I think with only one conversion done and one still in the garage, Hybrids Plus are very definitely a “start-up”!
