Overview of BMI Battery Packs
BMI (Battery Manufacturer's International) are a Taiwanese company that manufacture battery cells using LiFePO4 electrode material manufactured in Germany by
Süd-Chemie AG
under license from
Phostech
Canada. So these guys are the real deal. BMI also assemble the cells into battery packs of various configurations which all have built in Voltage Management Systems and come with a three-year warranty.
(LifeBatt US
and
UK are rebadged BMI products.)
BMI supply a wide range of battery packs for EV use up to 144 Volts (see Documentation);
-
Packs are made up from multiples of four cells (3.3V x 10Ah each).
-
Each 10Ah cell is capable of delivering 120 Amps continously.
-
The Voltage Management System monitors each individual cell (or paralleled cells).
-
Packs come with a three-year or 2000 cycle warranty.

The C14410-HPS contains 48 cells in series (158V x 10Ah = 1.6kWh) with 12 VMS modules monitoring each individual cell.
